[IT] Anno 2001, estate. Ero in tour in Canada con i Beerbong. Ricordo che suonammo 17 date in 16 giorni, spaziando tra British Columbia e Alberta, macinando centinaia di chilometri al giorno in furgone.
Nelle ore passate sulla strada, tra le cose che facevo per passare il tempo, ascoltavo musica con il mio lettore CD portatile a pile.
Era appena uscito Lateralus dei Tool, che avevo comprato proprio a Vancouver. Ascoltavo di continuo quell'album, leggendone i testi dal booklet, e mi rimasero impresse le parole nel finale del brano che dà il titolo all'album: Spiral out, keep going!
È da queste parole che ho preso spunto per registrarmi con il mio primo indirizzo email, quasi per scherzo, pensando tanto è solo un indirizzo mail temporaneo, che invece poi nel tempo è diventato permanente e rimasto lo stesso, seppur migrando di dominio in dominio.
Quale altro nome quindi avrei potuto ideare per un mio sito musicale?
[EN] Summer 2001. I was touring Canada with Beerbong. I remember we played 17 shows in 16 days, spanning British Columbia and Alberta, eating up hundreds of kilometers a day in a van.
During the hours spent on the road, among other things I did to spend the time, I listened to music on my portable, battery-powered CD player.
Tool's Lateralus, which I had bought in Vancouver, had just been released. I listened to that album constantly, reading the lyrics in the booklet, and the lyrics at the end of the title track stuck in my mind: Spiral out, keep going!
It was from these words that I took inspiration to register my first email address, almost as a joke, thinking that it was only a temporary email address, which over time became permanent and remained the same, albeit migrating from domain to domain.
So what other name could I have come up with for my music website?
